We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The view across the lake was fabulous and the location near the lake was perfect. The hotel facilities were clean and well-kept. The hotel also had a large lounge room with a television and games that all visitors could use. the hotel offered plenty of parking spots and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet that was offered.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The hotel was in a great location near the lake and had ample parking spaces. The vintage-style rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and phenomenal showers. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a large selection of dishes to choose from. Additionally, the nearby bath and swimming pool were excellent amenities to enjoy.
The shared balcony with neighboring guests was a bit of a letdown as it prevented fresh air from circulating in the room, resulting in a musty smell. Additionally, smoking guests on the balcony during the morning hours were a bit of an inconvenience. Though there was no elevator, the requirement of carrying suitcases to the second floor was manageable. However, there was no prior warning that dinner would be unavailable during the second night due to other non-hotel guests. the hotel offered a comfortable stay with ample amenities and a great location. However, the shared balcony and lack of notice for unavailable dinner may have hindered the experience slightly.

The hotel is perfectly located by the lake, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the convenience of being situated in the heart of the Golden Circle, allowing easy access to popular tourist attractions. The rooms are clean and maintained well, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making guests feel welcome and at home. Additionally, the hotel offers a variety of facilities such as a restaurant and a spa next door, providing guests with a range of amenities to enjoy.
It would be helpful if the hotel provided more information regarding their dining options, especially if there are any limitations or restrictions that may affect guests' dining experience.

The view across the lake from our room was fabulous! We enjoyed being close to the thermal baths and the terrific Lindin restaurant. It was also convenient to have a village supermarket within walking distance. The hotel's authentically Icelandic food was a pleasant surprise, and we loved that they had a large lounge room for all visitors to use, complete with a television and games. The staff even were really good by preparing a breakfast for us to take with us on our early departure. I highly recommend this homely hotel that felt traditionally Icelandic, in a fine location.
